AMSYSTEMS industrial exposure and recoating modules, software (APC) solutions and IP licenses are enabling the required steps towards digital production and mass-customization, disruptively improving the production capabilities and quality of the stereolithography (SL), resin-based 3D printing processes.

LineScan

A modular, multi-laser exposure unit for high resolution, high productivity printing, independent of build plate size and fill ratio. Suitable for top down and bottom up printing, the LineScan unit’s high available exposure power creates a strong enabler for not only polymer products, but also materials like ceramics, rubber and quartz.

  • Lasers: 20 vertical beams

  • Nominal resolution: 20 µm (5 - 40 µm)

  • Wavelengths: 405 nm (355, 385, 640 in pipeline)

  • Power: 1000 – 4000 mW

  • Scan width: 60 mm / module

  • At the heart of every LineScan module is an octagonal prism that makes our process possible. But this heart doesn’t beat, it spins. Sitting on high-speed bearings, the spinning of this polygon allows each diode fired through it to obtain a surface scanning speed of over 25 m/s, whilst maintaining beams perpendicular to the resin surface.

  • The modular design of the LineScan unit allows the easy addition of further units that work in parallel, extending the build size each time without sacrificing layer time or the perpendicularity of the beams.

  • Each of the 20 diodes in each LineScan unit can create spots of 20 microns (and less in upcoming models).

ResinJet

Micro-jet recoating module for high-speed deposition of thin resin layers, applicable for any size SLA/DLP with top-down exposure.

  • Deposition: 1200 micro jets

  • Layer thickness: 50 - 150 µm

  • Recoating width: 120 mm / module

  • Module speed: 2 - 4 m/s

Multi VAT printing systems

AMSYSTEMS solutions are applicable for single-VAT (batch wise production) and multi-VAT (continuous production) printer configurations. Upscaling the productivity of SLA/DLP printing requires multi-VAT printer configurations, in line or carrousel.

AMSYSTEMS applies its AMS ONE test printer platform to demonstrate the performance of the AMS LineScan and ResinJet, in combination with the required (new) resins and use cases. Customer is provided with a “Proof of Production” for their intended business case (Product/Process/Production)

Advanced Process Control (APC)

In order to optimize exposure and recoating steps, AMSYSTEMS develops Advanced Process Control (APC) solutions and can either provide licenses to printer manufacturers for industrial integration or deliver building blocks consisting of hardware and software.
As with all industrial production processes, in the end Advanced Process Control solutions are required which can directly control the product quality and production efficiency. Automatic adjustments of the exposure energy during printing, measuring and correcting disturbances in polymerization grade, layer thicknesses and/or material properties, are all examples of process optimization steps that are part of our APC offerings.

Our patented force feedback technology to speed up the de-peeling process in SLA printers is already commercially available.

Services

All our product offerings can be accompanied by customer specific engineering and support services in the full spectrum from research via engineering to onsite design-in support. For providing these services we have our own application engineering staff, as well as a network of partners.

End Users

As AMSYSTEMS technology enables a new dimension in SL printing performances, we are involved ourselves in use cases for end users. So besides providing the solutions to AM dedicated OEMs, AMSYSTEMS also applies its competences and technology for end-users to validate and demonstrate their use cases, using existing or new resins. In those projects, our ambition is to go as far as Proof of Production, rather than Proof of Concept. Once proven, we work together with printer OEM’s and equipment manufacturers from Brainport (the high-tech ecosystem in Eindhoven area) to create a customized printing solution.

Being based in Brainport offers us a great ecosystem of knowledge, suppliers and high skilled professionals. Besides access to partners for development and manufacturing of high-end equipment, we also have direct access to dedicated know-how on AM materials, product design and process development. Within our ecosystem companies have the intrinsic motivation to work together, combining expertise and know-how in multidisciplinary teams, to offer complete solutions to customers.
